Connecting Women ・ Inspiring Leaders ・ Giving Back

Dear Fellow Lady Masters,

We had a most enjoyable and convivial lunch at the Ironmongers on September 23rd when 17 of us met up, after our Committee meeting that morning. We welcomed new members Agnes Xavier-Phillips, Kathy Seddon, Linda Palmer and Lorraine Larman.

Since then, there is little to report but we do have two forthcoming events, details of which are posted herewith.

Progress is being made with the website and it would be good to add as much information about each of you as you are happy to submit. I have in mind, maybe a short video (taken by each individual or by a friend) recording your name, what work you do/did and what your interests are. I think it would give us a bit more insight into each member and where their strengths lie as well as linking names and faces.

As I mentioned in the previous newsletter, next year we will be celebrating the Association’s 10th anniversary and we are planning a lunch, probably sometime in September or October to mark the occasion. We were originally thinking of holding it at the AGM but the committee agreed that a separate event would be preferable.

Other events planned for 2025 are: Lunch at Ironmongers – March 3rd; AGM – April 7th and our Wardens evening on May 19th. Please put these in your Diary and further details will be made available.

I would like to record my thanks to the Committee who give up their time to meet and discuss the issues of the day. It is gratifying to see many more Lady Masters being elected and a lot is due to the work of my predecessors who will be celebrated next year.

Autumn can be such a lovely time of year and let’s hope we get some decent weather to enable us to enjoy the changes of colour in our gardens and countryside.

Best wishes, Georgie Gough
