Connecting Women ・ Inspiring Leaders ・ Giving Back

Dear LMA Members,

I hope you have all enjoyed a very merry Christmas and on behalf of the LMA committee send you all best wishes for this coming year. I feel sure it will be a productive one.

At our last meeting we welcomed Judith Millidge (PM Cordwainer) onto the committee. As a writer and historian Judith is a mine of information and we are delighted she has joined us.

Talking of which, we have recently added to our membership the following – Catherine McGuinness – Educators; Deborah Pullen – Constructors; Rebecca Ridley – Weavers; Jane Carey-Harris – Nurses and Sue Sumners – Needlemakers. That makes our total 164, which is excellent.

Two events have taken place since I last wrote to you and reports are included in this newsletter. We are now looking forward to lunching at the Ironmongers Hall on March 3rd, after our committee meeting, although most regrettably I am unable to join you on this occasion. See below for full details.

Our AGM takes place on April 7th and further details will be available shortly. We have booked the Guildhall Club.  Plans are also already underway for our annual and most successful Wardens evening on May 19th.

Our sub-committee are still working on improving our website and I hope we will have something to show you at the AGM.

Best wishes,

Georgie Gough
